भयंकरि (bhayaMkari) she who creates fear, is fearful. She is most fearful to those who should be afraid of. She is most fearful for those who do no good. She is most fearful for those who is or support evil. She is most fearful for those who indulge in intoxications and adharma अभयंकरि (abhayaMkari) she who removes fear (&) she who is not fearful. She removes the fear of dark. She removes the fear of fighting in a world material, psychological and spiritual निर्भयंकरि (nirbhayaMkari) she who makes one fearless, grants fearlessness. She makes one fearless to face an evil enemy, a quality to approach the supreme truth and to understand the supreme truth  शक्तिस्वरूपिणि (shaktiswarUpiNi) she who has the form of shakti / energy having the form of dEvi kALi. she and pure energy have forms of each other. She is indistinguishable from energy and in-turn energy is indistinguishable from her ज्नानानंदमयि (jnAnAnaMdamayi) she who is filled with the bliss of supreme divine knowledge. she ever possesses one of the highest forms of supreme bliss which is jnaanaanaMda which is bliss of pure divine knowledge दिव्यहासिनि (divyahAsini) she who is with a divine smile. as a mother's smile is to her baby, so is maate kALi's smile to us all, divine, assuring, uplifting, energizing, cleansing and supreme ज्यॊतिरूपिणि (jyOtirUpiNi ) she who has the form of the lamp/light. being jnAnAnaMdamayi, she is also a form of divine light always ready to illumine us in the right path of dharma and pointing away from the path of adharma. She can do so because she is a form of light and knowledge and knowledge and light are synonymous जगज्जननि (jagajjanani) mother of the world. like a mother protecting her baby from the elements, she is constantly protecting us against the evil inside and outside of us, because she is a mother of the world
